Funding
Unfortunately, courses of ESWT treatment with the Swiss DolorClast are not yet available throughout the NHS. However, there is a good number of NHS hospitals that do have special funding arrangements with their local Primary Care Trust (PCT).
Failing that, there is a network of clinicians in the UK that offer a private ESWT treatment service and many offer affordable self-pay treatment packages.
Many of the major medical insurance companies in the UK have approved the treatment method and will reimburse for some indications accordingly. But patients are urged to check with their insurer before commencing treatment.
